WebOct 23, 2012 · In this work, we discussed a novel computational approach to use discordant alignments of paired-end RNA-seq data to identify chimeric transcripts. Our method, named EricScript, makes use of the local realignment of the sequence reads that align across a gene fusion boundary to search for evidence of gene fusion events.
