WebFeb 21, 2024 · Or you could go with the Fitcamx for the front and get another cam for the rear. That's what I did. It makes wiring a lot easier, with no wire connecting front and rear. For the rear, you can just run the wire along the rear window rim and go under the rear speaker to reach the 12v socket in the trunk. WebJan 30, 2024 · Dec 17, 2024. #4. I just installed the Fitcamx dash cam, and man was it a bitch to install. I don't know how other people did it so easily, or within 30 minutes. Admittedly, I'm not very handy, but I spent 3 HOURS doing it because I really didn't want to damage my new car. Maybe I'm a total amateur, but it is what it is.

I've read reviews from other Platinum owners that the small case cover at the top did not fit with the additional wires from the digital rear view camera.

It lacks some features that I consider to be essential. Send them a question through Amazon and ask them to add it to their Amazon store, and I bet they will.
