I went through the system and disconnected the cables at the helm and gave the wheel a twist to verify it was the helm. Cost about $100 to replace. I wouldn't take it back out till it was fixed. Loosen the 1- 1/8 nut on the starboard (right) side of the engine where the cable enters the tube.
