A critic thought this sculpture ‘seems to belong to the living world of the sea.’ The curling top lip of the bronze is like a representation of a breaking wave while the green and white patina of the inner surface recalls the colour of the sea and surf. WebWork into these outside by recording parts of the landscape. Then respond to the landscape by drawing and painting into the prepared ink surface back in the studio. You will learn about using negative and positive space, about creating compositions by cropping your images. You will leave the session with 3 dynamic paintings.
